Happy Friday!

A wedding in savannah...and a high school reunion?

My dear friend, Samantha Bowen, married Sven Schwingen in Svannah, GA.
Jon and I drove down to ATL Friday night and continued on to Savannah Saturday morning.
We got to walk around aimlessly for a few hours before we had to get ready for the wedding festivities.

We had lunch at Moon River, where our waitress told us it was "perfectly acceptable" to take alcoholic drinks "To-Go" and drink while you explore the city.
So we did!

Too Funny...

After calling and begging the hotel to let us have an early check-in, (check-in was at 4:00 and the ceremony started at 5:00) we got ready in plenty of time for the trolley ride, which took us to the outdoor square where the ceremony was held.

The Beautiful Bride!

(I have more pictures of the wedding on my camera, these are all iPhone pics, will update later)

Strangely enough, I saw on twitter that several of my high school buddies were in town for a Bachelor party! So we met them after the reception for drink. Cheers to the Bachelor!

24 Short hours later, we were back on the road to TN, where we happened to pass my parents on the interstate in Chattanooga!

Thank you Samantha and Sven for inviting us to your special day.

Have you heard?

I'm Engaged!!!!!!

I get to marry my best friend
I get to say things like
"My Fiance and I are SO in Love!"
and
"Meet my Fiance, Jon!"
and
"Fiance"

I'm just so happy I could scream.

Which I did. The day after he popped the question, certain things popped into my head like
"I get to go wedding dress shopping!!!"

Sometimes you just have to let the world know what you're thinking, even if you are walking the streets of NYC.

I am madly in love, crazy obsessed, can't stop staring at my ring.

It's Perfect.

Just like my Fiance.

A Sunday Afternoon Pinterest Project

My office is cold. Literally and figuratively. For now, I intend to fix the 'figuratively' part.
Sunday afternoon I stopped running around long enough to start this Pinterest project for my office.
This was my inspiration.

After I bought the cork boards, which were on sale for $5 a 4 pack at Staples, I used blue painters tape to mark off the stripes.

I used a "spacer" piece to keep things even.

I arranged them the way I wanted to hang them to make sure it looked o.k. before I started to paint.

I had a few sample cans of paint from when I painted my living room, so I used Benjamin Moore's "Perspective".

After I let the first coat dry, I painted a second coat to make it really stand out.
Then when they all dried, I slowly peeled the tape off.

And here is the final product!

I like it. I just need to put some stuff on it...
